perfect evening.

betsy & i

My wonderful friend Betsy and I had a perfect evening together. Lots of girl talks, a perfect chick flick, wonderful music, lots of laughing, and home made pop-corns. It was exactly the kind of the evening that we needed and I'm in such a better mood tonight.

natalie merchant craving.

card writer

I woke up with Natalie Merchant in my head this morning - it was more like I had to listen to her right away. I listened to her on my way to the office till the battery on my ipod ran out and thought of my friend Betsy.

Betsy's has been feeling down for the past a few days. I picked up some of her favorite cookies and ice cream after work and went over to her place to listen to her and chat with her. Told her that I woke up with Natalie Merchant craving in the morning and had to listen to her all day long. It's not even funny, she had the same thing today.

There is something about Natalie Merchant, her music and her voice, makes me become really emotional and let out things when I need to.

moi by bill

I went out for dinner with Betsy and Bill last night. The newly found restaurant Salad Dude in Shinsa became Betsy's favorite one in Seoul.

Bill brought his new toy, Mamiya. It was bigger and heavier than I thought but it was as fun as I thought it was gonna be.

This photo is taken by Bill with his Mamiya. In general, I don't like portrait photos of myself as I'm not a photogenic person or can't get a comfortable/ relaxed expression in front of camera. However, I don't mind this photo of myself. In fact, I kind of like this photo with the reason that I get to see myself with an expression I never see in other photos - other photos that were taken when I knew I was being photographed.

This photo once reminded me again what I see in front of mirror isn't exactly what other people see of me. I guess I rather look serious sometimes.

summer love

I had a wonderful Sunday photo-shooting session with my beautiful friend Monika & her husband, Teemu, at Namsan Park. This is the first draft out of so many shots.

Special thanks to Dave for lending me D200 & the wonderful lens.

eight years @ grande

tiny grande.

I found a friend who I lost a contact for the past eight years through Facebook and the friend is visiting Korea now. We went out for dinner, wine, conversation, and lots of catching up. I had a great time. After all the past eight years and so many changes in lives, we are still good friends and my heart felt so warm entire time through out the dinner. I've got a light hang over this morning but I'm sure that I will do dinner, wine, and conversation with a lost friend again even for a heavier hang over. So, my Thursday starts here.
